TERMS & CONDITIONS

Eligibility & Enrolment

1.1 All students must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or above.

1.2 By enrolling, the parent/guardian confirms that all information provided (including student details, age, health conditions, allergies, special learning needs, and emergency contact information) is accurate and complete.

1.3 HKATA reserves the right to refuse enrolment or discontinue participation if:

• The student's behaviour poses safety risks to others
• The Programme is unsuitable for the student's needs
• Fees remain unpaid
• False or misleading information was provided

Programme Schedule & Class Arrangements

2.1 Programme schedules, instructors, class format, venue arrangements, and lesson content may be adjusted due to operational needs, staff availability, safety considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.

2.2 HKATA may merge, reschedule, or cancel a class if minimum enrolment is not met.

2.3 If a Programme includes aerospace models, AI tools, robotics kits, electronics components, simulation software, or materials, these may vary depending on availability without reducing overall learning outcomes.

Payment Terms

3.1 Full payment must be completed before enrolment is confirmed unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Payment methods may include:

• Bank transfer
• FPS
• Credit card
• Other methods stated on invoice or website

3.3 Any bank charges or transaction fees must be borne by the Customer.

3.4 Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

Refund Policy

4.1 All fees are non-refundable once enrolment is confirmed, unless otherwise stated in writing.

4.2 Refunds will not be provided for:

• Student absence
• Schedule conflicts
• Travel plans or personal reasons
• Dissatisfaction after Programme commencement

4.3 Withdrawal after payment confirmation will not entitle the Customer to a refund.

Make-Up Lessons & Absences

5.1 Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

5.2 Parents/guardians must notify HKATA at least 24 hours in advance via official communication channels (e.g. WhatsApp or email).

5.3 Absence without required notice will not qualify for make-up, credit, or refund.

5.4 Any approved make-up lesson must be completed within the same term or Programme period.

Cancellation or Rescheduling by HKATA

6.1 HKATA may reschedule or cancel classes due to:

• Instructor illness
• Extreme weather conditions (e.g. typhoon signal, black rainstorm)
• Venue issues
• Safety concerns
• Government restrictions
• Other circumstances beyond reasonable control

6.2 If HKATA cancels a Programme permanently without replacement, we will provide either:

• A replacement class
• Pro-rated credit
• Refund for the cancelled portion only

Medical Conditions & Special Educational Needs

7.1 Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, behavioural needs, or SEN requirements prior to the Programme.

7.2 HKATA is not responsible for incidents arising from undisclosed conditions.

7.3 HKATA may recommend withdrawal if a student requires support beyond our operational capacity.

Safety & Student Conduct

8.1 Students must follow instructor instructions at all times, especially during:

• Aerospace model assembly
• Electronics handling
• Battery usage
• AI device demonstrations
• Tool usage

8.2 HKATA reserves the right to remove a student immediately if they:

• Endanger themselves or others
• Repeatedly disrupt learning
• Damage equipment intentionally
• Engage in aggressive or disrespectful behaviour

8.3 Removal due to misconduct will not result in a refund.

Equipment & Property Damage

9.1 Certain Programmes include robotics kits, sensors, tablets, aerospace components, and other equipment ("Equipment").

9.2 Students must handle Equipment responsibly.

9.3 HKATA may charge repair or replacement costs if damage results from misuse, negligence, or intentional behaviour.

Intellectual Property

10.1 All HKATA course content, curriculum design, slides, materials, videos, aerospace simulations, AI training modules, and teaching methodologies are the intellectual property of HKATA.

10.2 Customers may not copy, reproduce, distribute, record, resell, or publish materials without written consent.

10.3 Materials are for personal educational use only.

Photography & Marketing Consent

11.1 HKATA may take photos or videos during classes, workshops, or events for documentation and marketing.

11.2 By enrolling, the Customer grants HKATA the right to use such media for:

• Website
• Social media
• Brochures
• Promotional materials

unless the parent/guardian opts out in writing prior to Programme commencement.

Liability Disclaimer

12.1 Participation in hands-on aerospace, engineering, and AI activities involves inherent risks.

12.2 HKATA will take reasonable safety precautions but shall not be liable for:

• Minor injuries
• Accidents caused by student behaviour
• Loss of personal belongings
• Third-party actions

12.3 HKATA's maximum liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the relevant Programme.

Force Majeure

HKATA shall not be responsible for delays or service interruption caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or supply disruptions.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
